Yep, the papers I was served was for the 2nd mortgage. I talked with a co-worker's husband who is a retired attorney and he basically agreed with my thinking. Which is basically that I can't do this without an attorney--there are too many variables involved. Probably I'm going to be out some money. I have to assume the worst, right?
For the first time in a long time, I've felt like I wanted to shed a few frustration tears over this whole divorce/money thing. I didn't, because I'm at work. It's just so....stupid.
In other money news, I've spent $35 on groceries in the past few days and $7 on the cats. I got paid Monday, so put a little into savings, but most of it went towards the student loan and paying the yearly car insurance. I pulled out my spending cash money and that's all I've got for two weeks. It should be more than enough.
After work today I'm going for a run at the indoor track, then to a meditation class at the local yoga studio. I'm looking forward to the class, which goes for three weeks. Maybe it will help calm me down while I deal with the ex.
One final awesome note. My awesome boyfriend surprised me with a belated Valentine's Day present that was back-ordered and just came. You know those days where you totally fall back in love with someone? Yeah, it was one of those days. The present was great, but it was the spending time together that really did it. :-)
